Founded in 1937 as Frank Coleman (Luton) Ltd, the company initially manufactured hat boxes for the local trade. In the early 1980s, under the leadership of Neil Goldman, the company rebranded as Colpac and shifted focus to food packaging, capitalizing on the burgeoning takeaway food market in the UK.

Goldman spearheaded innovations in recyclable and compostable packaging, setting industry standards for sustainable solutions. His contributions were recognized with the Chairman’s Award from the Foodservice Packaging Association in 2023. Neil Goldman passed away in 2024, leaving behind a legacy of innovation and environmental stewardship.
